Building relationships, providing access to resources - for the sake of children and families.

Our Vision:  To enhance and improve the quality of life for individuals and families of under-served newcomers by supporting sustainable solutions as they integrate into American society.

Our Mission:  Empowering lives and changing circumstances.

Core Values:
With compassion and godly love, we serve disadvantaged resettled populations with emphasis on quality of life  services to help transition and acculturate them into the American way of life. As change agents, we embrace diversity while assessing needs and advocate to make a difference in the lives of those we serve.

Below are Core Values for Woven Vessels International Ministry:
  • Integrity
  • Love
  • Partnership
  • Empowerment
  • Diversity

As we visit the homes of the newcomers and see additional needs that cannot be met because of minimal resources, we are strongly convinced, more can be done to assist them. They came from refugee camps in war- torn areas of Africa, and other continents, many have lived in camps for over ten years. However, many of them owned businesses, had homes, and worked outside of the camps (some of the men could leave the camp to work, but their families could not.) The fate of war, famine, and unpreventable circumstances dealt them a defeating hand. In the pursuit of a new life, they have been shuttled to a new land to experience freedom. We have been able to help them realize that dream in so many tangible ways. We ask that you join us in giving our newcomers an opportunity, they want the same advantages as Americans: to provide for their families; educate their children; attain employment; home ownership; worship with freedom; and live the American dream.

We welcome you to collaborate with us to assist in giving to this under-served community. An article published by the Lansing State Journal in 2005 featuring the need of African refugees re-settling in the Lansing area inspired and convicted us to start this ministry.

Remember - 'in as much as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me'. Woven vessels international ministry has taken on the responsibility of educating, advocating, and assisting newcomers to become productive citizens in our community.
